ATL RespOrg
ATL Independent Resp Org (RespOrg) Services was founded in 1991 by Aelea Christofferson after a successful career with Pacific Bell. While with Pacific Bell Christofferson served as representative to the national committee that designed toll free number portability including what a Resp Org would be.
In April 1993 ATL became a RespOrg along with the major carriers as the industry entered toll free portability. Since that time ATL led as the first independent Resp Org, one of the first companies to utilize the database for sophisticated multi-carrier routing, and a resource for carriers, end users, consultants and the FCC on complex issues concerning toll free numbers.
